Stolen car: Chinese food may be late

11:47pm Update: Jersey City police apprehended two suspects as well as the stolen car. Case closed. Chinese back to regularly scheduled deliveries.

9:30pm:
Tonight at around 8:46pm, a driver for Precious Chinese Restaurant had his ride stolen at 6th and Bloomfield. He tried chasing the “thin black male” all the way up Bloomfield where he finally gave up chase at 11th Street where he lost the thief. The driver had a 1997 Black Toyota Corolla license plate CDL-7737.

It’s too bad that these crimes happen, but these drivers SHOULD NOT leave the keys in the car with the car running. Might as well just get a sign that says “Free car with purchase of egg roll.”

Here’s the police with the victim.

Actually, I’ve seen the Chinese delivery guys sprint blocks past me on foot. They’re pretty fast.

I can see how the guy, who’s car was stolen, could sprint the 5 blocks from 6th to 11th and still keep up with a guy going no more than the fastest human sprinter ever at about 23 mph.

Wish someone would’ve gotten a photo of the chase.
