City throws out computers & CRT monitors

10/15/2010:

Environmentally un-friendly

One Hoboken411 reader spotted this no-no outside Hoboken city hall this afternoon. The city tossing out computers and CRT monitors like regular garbage – when they need to go through a safe recycling process. Many states ban these items from landfills.

Some “green” city we live in!

[Stay tuned for the next Readerpix entry! – Note: one reader’s photo(s) will be featured from time to time. Unless your photo is time-sensitive – it will be published in the order it was received! Additional note: Your pictures will have a better chance of being published if they’re in “landscape” mode, as opposed to the taller “portrait” modes… ]

Irish is right, and I’m surprised at you, 411!
You should have hauled those babies home, and done a little sleuthing. Or better yet, just say you did and see who panics. There’s a better than even chance that they just erased the drive, not realizing that a standard erase only removes the directory information, not the data.

Does this really surprise you? Have you seen the clowns that work there? Just look at the ring masters running the circus. Same old. Same old!

More importantly check out the size of the invoices on the new office furniture!! Upscale furnishing even a consulting firm would be ashamed to sport.
