Higgins Memorial

johnmhiggins1.jpgLast month we were sad to announce the passing of John M. Higgins, a well-liked resident of Hoboken and respected member of the journalism community.

His best friend, over at The Pop View, has been covering his memorial and other related stories over the past several weeks. Just as John would have liked, despite the subject matter, it was one of the most upbeat memorials, and even had an after-party!

Additionally, on his site, he’s been featuring some of the great and eclectic Christmas music that John and him had shared over the years. Most certainly more interesting than what you’re used to hearing.

He sent me this song to feature here, since it’s related to Hoboken.

Funny thing about this song is that they mention double-parkers as well as “gray and crunchy” snow. How fitting!

Bianca Bob was in the late-80’s all-toy instrument band, Pianosaurus. This song appeared on the 1994 compilation Caroling in Left Field, which was released by Homebase Records, out of Red Bank, NJ.
