More paving!

Here’s some night shots of the infrastructure work taking place on 13th Street as well as on Grand.

Does anyone know if the city is paying for this (with DOT grants), or is this project being paid for by the developers that trashed the streets to begin with?

Thanks for the info, Red. Michael Cricco really needs to get booted.

Whoops… Danzig didn’t write the quote in my last post. It was H411. I goofed up the code. Wasn’t sure how to quote the original post. Oh well.

This is NOT being paid for with developer money. This is most likely part of the $1,900,000.00 bond issue the city council approved in July for “Various Road Improvements.” We will be paying for this for many years.

The borrowing was spearheaded by 5th ward councilman Mike Cricco. He was getting killed by new constituents in the Northwest Redevelopment Zone who were howling about their BMW’s bottoming out on streets damaged by heavy equipment during construction of their “luxury” condos.

Dave Roberts only asks developers to pay for his campaigns, not to fix roads and build parks.
