Dog found uptown; safe at Hoboken Unleashed

Hoboken411 reader Dave found this dog uptown this morning and said:

“A lovely ginger-colored dog, looking like a small shepherd mix, was found hanging out on a stoop uptown this morning. She’s got a rabies tag from Tennessee but no other ID. She’s got white patches around her face, and a red collar. She’s been taken to Hoboken Unleashed on Clinton St.; can you please help spread the word?”

I nearly choked on my lunch when I saw this post today. That dog, Emma, looks an awful lot like my little-girl-dog-Trinity. See archives http://hoboken411.com/archives/9751.

I am happy that Emma was found by responsible people who tried to track down her owners.

My girlfriend was trying to help someone this morning before work recover a dog fitting this description who had broken loose. I believe she answers to Emma. Hope she get’s home safely.

Also, the dog should be scanned for the microchip. I think the vets and some pounds have the scanners.
The dog was turned in to the Hoboken Police
I took her to the vet, no micro-chip. After calling up the health dept of the city of Nashville I got the dogs name Emma, and the owners name and #. I did call the owner, no reply. I have a large female dog that is very protective of her home so I brought her to the Hoboken police. Going to give them a call to see what’s going on.
Also, the dog should be scanned for the microchip. I think the vets and some pounds have the scanners.
