Spa Diner Cage Match

8/19/2010:

Spa Diner is breeding ground for drunk nonsense

Several times per week – if you listen to the Hoboken411 Live Police and Fire Action Channel – you’ll hear police officers being dispatched to the Spa Diner on Hudson Street downtown.

411 reader Nick sent this “behind the scenes” raw video footage of one such instance from this past weekend. A girl fight turned into a guy fight and a two-on-two couple fight. What were they fighting over? Something stupid.

Dumb bitches. That fight could have easily been avoided.

Nice video, how’d you like them landing in your lap. Ha ha, drunk people are funny when they fight.

People get pretty tense after waiting on line for the Cake Boss all day.

Me & my buddy were at Spa about 10 minutes after it happened. The guy just kept on saying,,,”Do you know I am am??” “I am Wa Wa Bate’s cousin!” He said that literally 20 times…..I ordered the California burger by the way

    Best part of the video….

“Let go you fat slob…why dont you eat a salad once in a while?”

  6. Evelyn says:

The guy hurling fat insults had a pot belly himself.

Hopefully the diner gave the people who’s table was messed up a free piece of cake or a discount on the check.

Not very many greasy-spoon places left in town for the late night crowd. Before the Spa moved to that location there was Schaeffer’s by the PATH and the Town Lunch by Bahama mamas. Uptown had the 14th street diner (now malibu’s). Always preferred these type of places after bar hoping. Never surprised to see a fight break out either.

What an embarrassing scene. Glad the police arrived quickly. Another five minutes and someone would have been stabbed.

Hoboken is the Jersey Shore without the beach.

I still can’t fathom why we put up with this nonsense. It’s not like the city gets any revenue from the bar crowds. In fact it actually costs the city money in law enforcement.

I like when people say “Do you know who I am?!??!?!” — clearly, I don’t if you have to say that over and over.

A question like that makes me respond with a question such as

The Hob. PD handled this ‘hot zone’ incident in a prompt, efficient manner. By the way, this ‘diner’ is one of a breed: general public, judges, lawyers, active and retired PD & FD members, business-persons, and commuters during the day and the ‘fired-up’ early morning party people later…..Later! 😛

😀 Beg Pardon! Many municipal workers, current and past elected officials are also common day customers…..[quote comment=”196367″]The Hob. Deja vu… all over again, this was the norm for most diners in the 60’s
