Stevens Emergency Warning Siren Test

Stevens to test emergency system on August 3rd

Timothy J. Griffin, the Chief of Police at Stevens Institute of Technology sent Hoboken411 a brief note this morning. He wanted to share some information about a test they’ll be performing on campus tomorrow.

The Stevens Institute of Technology will be conducting a brief test of its Emergency Warning Siren on Tuesday, August 3 at 12:00 noon.

The siren is used to warn the Stevens community and its visitors of an imminent threat on campus. The siren itself gives off a sound like that of an air raid siren followed by voice command instructions. We would appreciate it if you would share this notification with your website visitors so our Hoboken neighbors around campus will know that this is only a TEST. Thank you again for your community service.
