Jubilee Shoes – R.I.P.

3/13/2009 Update:

Took just about two years for Jubilee Shoes to come and go.

Did anyone shop there? Do you miss it already?

2/9/2007 Update:

Replacing the doomed Juice Zone. Under what seems to be the parent company Saga Shoes, Jubilee New York has 5 stores in NYC, plus Saga Shoes, which has 4 locations, and Studio 55, which has one location. You can see all the locations HERE.

I asked the not-so-friendly guy in there “when do you expect to open?”, he frantically said “I have no friggin idea.. maybe by the weekend?”

Does being a NYC store mean you have to have an attitude too?

11/9/2006:

It was 3:57am, and I was trying to figure out what this “Jubilee” store replacing the Doomed Juice Zone will be. They indicated they had a location in New York as well.

Did a Google search, and at first I thought it was this French Bistro restaurant.

Then when I looked at the sign again, I realized it can’t be a restaurant with sales, management and “stock”.

Another possibility was this Jubilee Marketplace, which is a deli/sandwich/bodega style place on John St. in Manhattan. I doubt that, because who would need “sales” for a deli?

My final answer is that it’s going to be yet another shoe store, Jubilee New York. Under what seems to be the parent company Saga Shoes, Jubilee New York has 5 stores in NYC, plus Saga Shoes, which has 4 locations, and Studio 55, which has one location. You can see all the locations HERE.

I should have guessed this first, since this sign actually said “Jubilee New York”. See what happens when you’re up all hours of the night? Your thinking process goes awry. Well, I can also blame whomever wrote that sign too. By putting the “New York” in a smaller font threw me off. Then again, I could have easily just called that number. But since when do people do that?

I never found out why Juice Zone shut down (other than it sucking really bad). This sign in the window (dated Sept. 29) may shed some clues. I tried searching various databases online (such as RU-Camden) and could come up with nothing. Can any of you expert legal eagles find out what Docket LT-011691-06 pertained to? Thanks!

Goodbye Juice Zone, and hello Jubilee, whomever you may be!
what is the Bohoken commercial vacancy rate up to?
The vacancy rate was reduced by three due to the campaign storefronts being occupied by the ‘big’ three imcumbent councilpersons running for Mayor with their council-at-large running mates. What is the actual rate in this mismanaged State supervised city that more and more critics are now calling Hojoken?… (which was previously viewed by 411).

There shoes were really comfortable that was the difference to me not price. They are the only shoes outside of Nike sneakers that don’t hurt my feet after an hour. Maybe I should try the Croc heels – prob not 😥
