Hoboken hates conserving water!

5/17/2010:

Elysian Park fountain gushes water all night

This water fountain at Elysian Park is only supposed to be on on warm spring and summer days. However, the fountain was running at full force all throughout the night yesterday. You’d figure your super-high tax bills could provide you with infrastructure that works properly.

The men who maintain the park are very good. I know because I used to be there very early in the morning with my children. They would not have left it on. It is very easy to turn on the sprinkler by yourself as people used to do it all the time on hot days when the maintenance men would be busy.
I know I would see the men turn it off at the end of their work day or if it got chilly during the day.
