Tempting Treat: Pocono Crunch!

5/10/2010:

Pocono Crunch takes Rice Krispies to another level

If you’re like me – you tend to get excited when you find something unique, out of the ordinary – and especially delicious.

One such example I discovered last week over at The Candy Shoppe (59 4th Street) was Pocono Crunch.

A new item that owner Meg Rankin started carrying recently from Callie’s Candy Kitchen, a candy and pretzel maker from the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. “Delicious combinations of Butterscotch, Rice Krispies and Cashews.” The tasty morsels also had a hint of maple, which was pleasing. A great sinful delight that you can enjoy in small doses.

If they still have free samples – you wouldn’t be disappointed! Otherwise $7 for a 7 oz. bag. Bring some to your next party or gathering, and be the hit of the show!

OMG! My cousins are from PA and sometimes bring Pocono Crunch when they visit, and it really is one of my favorite treats. Could get dangerous now that I know you can get in Hoboken.
