An Evening of Classical Music at Stevens

DeBaun Center Library Series – April 9, 2010

For the sixth installment of the 2009–2010 Library Concert Series, DeBaun Center for Performing Arts, in association with the Samuel C. Williams Library, is proud to present a An Evening of Classical Music on Friday, April 9, 2010, at 8 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Samuel C. Williams Library, on the campus of Stevens Institute of Technology, in Hoboken, NJ.

The concert will feature the students of Martin Andersen and Bethany Reeves, Artists-in-Residence, performing string and opera selections. The performing string students include Matthew Nebesny and Thomas MacKinnon on violin, Kyle Gilbert on viola and Da Wei Hou on cello.

They will be performing pieces by Beethoven, Mozart and Willem Ten Have. The performing vocal students include Donna Barden, Cassidy DeSchryver, William Estes, Dylan Lupo, Alicia Mahon, Veena Ramakrishnan, Gustaf Rath, Veronica Sherwood and Kieran Walters. The opera repertoire includes selections from “The Marriage of Figaro”, “The Magic Flute” and “Don Giovanni” by Mozart, “The Barber of Seville” by Rossini, “Griselda” by Vivaldi, “The Ballad of Baby Doe” by Moore and “Street Scene” by Weill. The students will be accompanied by Stephanie Safko.
