Pazzo hangs at Giovanni’s Footwear

7/13/2010 Update:

Who is that doggie in the window?

Giovanni’s son has been bringing his dog Pazzo (13 years old) to the shop.

Remember Lupo after the jump!

Lupo remembered forever!

4/10/2010 Update:
It’s beautiful to see how dog owners remember their best friend. We’ll never forget Lupo!

Dog park in the sky

Hoboken411 reader Mark said: “Just walked by the Giovanni D’Italia shoe store (7th & Garden) with my dog and saw a very sad sight indeed. I see lit candles and yellow roses next to a very nice picture frame with lots of nice pics of the beautiful dog Lupo where he used to hold court in the window. The dog that I have walked past almost everyday for years and years seems to have gone on to a better place.”

Lupo was as much of Hoboken as Baseball, Sinatra and Fresh Mutz.

I respect everyone’s jurisdictions and hard work, don’t mean to step on any rescues toes. Just REALLY want all dogs to find a loving home. If anyone knows anyone that would love to love an unloved dog, there is no more righteous act you could undertake.

Why are some “rescue” people on this thread so possessive? It’s a thread about Lupo, primarily, followed by a puppy that could use a new home. It’s not about your egos needing a belly rub, assholes.

Anyway, super-thanks, cheeky, for spreading the word. I’m sure puppy is awesome.

nice idea but the dog is already with a rescue. The rescue then chooses the new home.

You can reach Hoboken Unleashed at 201-798-6300. Please just say you saw the thread on Hoboken 411, and you are inquiring about the Foster Dog named Jessie!

Oh NO! I never understood how that dog survived in that store, breathing in fumes from the equipment and sprays in there! And he never moved from that perch….RIP Lupo!

And you are not concerned about the Humans that work there? Lupo was well loved and taken care of. Enjoy Puppy Heaven!

Does anyone here personally know the gentleman that owned Lupo?

Hoboken Unleashed has a gorgeous young foster German Shepard. He is looking for a full time new home!

What a gorgeous confluence of end and beginning as it were, if the former owner of Lupo could get a new pup to continue his legacy?

If anyone could help with this please let me know, I am more than happy to pick up the ball once it starts rolling, but do not know the man personally.

I don’t know the man from the shoe repair place personally. I work with someone that already has two german sheperds. He lives in Hawthorne,N.J. He has a big house and lots of land. The person I work with is looking to adopt a third sheperd. He is looking for a male. He is looking for a puppy. It has to be a long haired sheperd. I think they’re called Shilo sheperds. Do you have the particulars on this dog? Or should I reach out to Hoboken Unleashed?

Ditto regarding specs. Giovanni’s eyes lit up when I told him about this dog.
