Willow Avenue buses stink!

3/3/2010:

Hoboken411 reader Andrea thinks there’s an issue with the NJ Transit buses that run along the Willow Avenue route. Do you feel the same way?

What’s the deal with the Willow Ave. buses?

“What’s going on with the NJ Transit buses along Willow? They are much less frequent than the buses on Washington, even though the population on the west side has exploded! Looks like they need to make adjustments! Even if you’re out by 8am, you have to wait 20 to 40 minutes to get on a bus. On Wash, sometimes I saw 3 buses stop at once on the same corner. On Willow, maybe 2 will go by and they are packed. I took a photo (9th/clinton) that only shows 1 side but it wrapped around the corner to the Willow Pharmacy!”

I just wasted 10 minutes reading the whining from all you pampered, spoiled, self entiled pantywaists from Hobken.

I just have one thing to say . . .

I am so glad I live in Weehawken.

Heheheh.

So how the hell did you end up coming across an 11 month old thread about Hoboken buses? Really man, unlock the door and walk outside. Breathe in the air like Tim Robbins greets freedom in Shawshank Redemption. There is more out there. *shakes head*
I just wasted 10 minutes reading the whining from all you pampered, spoiled, self entiled pantywaists from Hobken.I just have one thing to say . . .I am so glad I live in Weehawken.Heheheh.
Well blahblahblah1 lives in Weehawken, so that air might be Lincoln Tunnel exhaust fumes. When I lived there, the Willow line did suck. Besides what everyone has already posted regarding the 3 in a row then 20 minute, packed buses you couldn’t board, etc, the thing that annoyed me most was service would be shutdown and you would stand there for a long time not knowing a thing – unless by word of mouth if lucky. Not sure if it was on NJ Transit alerts, but it really stunk. The benefit of the Willow line is that it gets into the PA quicker than the Washington line, which has plenty of traffic lights to slow you down, heavier traffic, double parkers, and a couple of extra stops. I can’t count how many times I ended up walking to the path over 12 years. On another note, what’s up with the fight? Tale of the Tape: To my left, stands raging rag 24/6 days a week, who has a professional record of 10-10, with 3 wins coming by way of pig-tail pulling, 2 wins by face scratching, and 5 by TKO putting the judges to sleep. To my right, stands mooshu porkulicious misses, who has a professional record of 10-10. with 2 wins coming by hand to the face, 3 wins by Lee Press On Nails, and 5 by DQ of the opponents walking out of the match. Recap of the fight, by CompuBox: At the opening bell rag walks around the ring to Washington (#7) . mooshu circles over and walk to the PATH (#12)… Read more »

And 1 other thing about riding the 126 bus; this is more about common courtesy and respect for your fellow passengers. IF you are a large/husky-ish person, please DO NOT sit (and spread your legs wide) in the tight 2-seater seats near the front section of the bus. By doing this, no one else can sit in that seat. Those up front seats are tight; so please let some skinny people squeeze into these up front seats. Do us all a favor and sit in the wider 2-seater seats in the back or perhaps you can even stand (gasp!).

Some jerk off did this on my ride in today. Taking up 2 seats for his fat butt and spreading his legs wide so it was impossible for someone else to sit next to him.

Common courtesy people !!
