Help us help Haiti. This weekend, the 23rd and 24th, The Cheese Store will be donating 5% of our gross sales to The American Red Cross and its relief efforts in Haiti. Come delight both your palate and your conscious.

The Cheese Store rocks! I highly encourage anyone hosting a holiday get together or dinner party or just for you cheese lovers out there - give Chung your business. He offers excellent suggestions, let's you try everything and is simply a nice man and Hoboken small business owner.

Give him your business so we can keep this gem in Hoboken!

I've been frequenting the Cheese Store for a few months now and it's always consistantly spectacular. My husband loves the sopressata sandwich, while my fav is the tomato/ motz but all of the others are amazing. He uses the best ingredients so his sandwiches are always delicious and on Balthazar bread.. You will not find a hoagie here..I'm a chef so I'm extremely hard to please and very picky but this place never fails me. I bought a great cheese platter last weekend and my guests are still raving about it. Plus Chung is a great owner, extremely knowledgeable on cheese and is always helpful with selections. I highly recommend it to everyone.. but one requirement.. you must have taste, and if you do you will not disappointed. Good Luck Chung!

I went to the Cheese Store this past weekend. Not only is the owner pleasant, friendly and helpful, he CLEARLY knows his cheese. To anyone entertaining, I highly recommend a platter from this store.

Could you pick a worse location than Monroe? Garden of Eden has just a good selection and knowledgeable staff.
I couldn't have met a nicer guy that just loves his job.

Agreed about the location, just terrible. I so wish he was closer to Washington. Even an off-street like Garden would be nice.

Disagree about GoE - WHAT? They have the "supermarket" cheese collection. Ooh gee Gouda and Roquefort! Yippie! GoE gets smoked by his selection, and he knows EVERYTHING he sells.
Garden of Eden's collection is disappointing. Actually for a major supermarket Shoprite's isn't all that bad- just overpriced.

How ironic...we just featured Chung on our Italian food blog "Sunday Sauce".
He introduced us to some "off the beaten path" Italian cheeses. Great guy, knows his cheese, hope he succeeds. You can see the video here:
