It’s still called Veteran’s Stadium and it’s still a county park.

Yep! leather helmets with Joseph Marino from Wm. & Mary as the head coach….used the single wing with the QB being mainly a blocker. It was mainly a running attack; however, later he spread the offense out for passing…close to the wildcat offense we see today. Needed a great center those days…all long snaps!

Demarest would have had the best teams in the state if there was another coach. There were a lot of great players who wouldn’t play for him so they played with either st joe’s boys club or the monroe buddies. and that’s a rivalary that’s a whole other story.

lots of good guys on that team are not with us today..Where did all them years go?? look at them baseball uniforms and the rubber helmets and chitty shoulder pads..funny chit…they were good days

those were leather helmets and demarest was the last team in the state and maybe the united states that wore them.
