“Fall of the Republic” Truth or Fiction?

1/9/2010:

Here’s your Saturday Morning “political” video…

A real conspiracy? Or just political games?

A lot of people like labeling me (and other readers – or anyone for that matter) anytime a subject is brought up that they don’t agree with. Most of the time without even knowing the other person personally!

Anyway, here’s a two hour video that tries to demonstrate how global powers (corporate, political, etc.) are trying to fundamentally change the world (global currency, population control, etc.)

Now I have zero proof of what they’re saying (along with a million other fiercely debated subjects like global warming, etc.) – in fact most of us out there have access to the same so-called printed facts or information – while 99.9% of us haven’t been completely involved (with experiments, in office, at the “secret meetings”).

Two questions about this subject video:

  • If you believe what they’re saying – why? Can you prove it?
  • If you find it to be factually incorrect, can you offer indisputable proof? (not just web links or “he said”)

@411, re: “A lot of people like labeling me (and other readers – or anyone for that matter) anytime a subject is brought up that they don’t agree with. Most of the time without even knowing the other person personally!” – I think the reason people label you is because pretty much close to 100% of the op-ed pieces you post lean overtly to the right.

While you have every right to your opinion (both as an individual, and further as the owner of this site), it’s not the fact that you’re anti- anything that is earning you a label. If you posted pro- obama / anti- republican videos 3x a week, you would almost assuredly get “labeled” something as well.

The other aspect of it is that people come to this site, presumably to read and comment about Hoboken news. Instead, many times they are greeted with anti-liberal / democrat videos, images, or other propaganda. To most, this seems like you have an underlying agenda that you wish to propagate.

As I mentioned above, as the owner of the site, you have a final say as to what goes and what stays. However, at the same time you shouldn’t act surprised as to what labels you are rightfully earning.

Disclaimer: I didn’t watch (yet)

But with all conspiracy theories, remember the British “cock up (before conspiracy) theory”…

“Many journalists have fallen for the conspiracy theory of government. I do assure you that they would produce more accurate work if they adhered to the cock-up theory.”

– Sir Bernard Ingham
