Especially since Google doesn't seem to know that the Clearview Hoboken exists.

In response to freewheelin who said:

According to Moviefone, this is what's coming to Hoboken this Friday:

Larger Than Life ... in 3D: Dave Matthews Band

And just how many DMB fans do we have in this town that would warrant this film playing here? Clearview really needs to do some demographic studies. I'm guessing they might get 100 people seeing this over the course of a week.

Hey 411, how about adding a section where you list the 5 movies playing at the Clearview so we don't need to go look it up every week?

AGREED. Such a waste to finally have a theater in our town but no movies that a large portion of the residents would be interested in!

In response to brian_g who said:

Not sure if the Clearview management reads this but I couldn't find a way to email them directly.

So here are the movies that are playing at the theater now.

2012
The Blind Side
Disney's A Christmas Carol in Disney Digital 3D
Old Dogs
Twilight

So 2 films purely for children. 1 film for teenagers. A feel good movie. And a not very good disaster film.

These are the sorts of films that Clearview's market research thought would do well here?

I get Twilight. It's a big movie. But Old Dogs AND Christmas Carol? Is the theater looking to get out of town parents to come to this theater? Cause most parents in this town, at least non-BNR parents, have children under the age of 5.

Why not Fantastic Mr. Fox? Or The Road? Or Pedro Almavodar's Broken Promises?

How bout showing Up in the Air next week? Or Crazy Heart? Avatar is fine, I guess.

And how bout Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus when it comes out?

Couldn't you use one screen for mid-tier Indys such as the ones put out by Fox Searchlight and Sony Classics?

Get better movies and you'll get more customers.

Totally agree, Brian. I can see where they'd want to have at least one kids movie--there's no shortage of kids in town and parents looking for things to do with them. But they might want to actually think about the adults in town who would like to catch a movie with some substance, like the ones you mentioned. I mean, Old Dogs and The Blind Side got universally terrible reviews. I don't see why they can't devote one screen per week to a decent film that people over the age of 14 and with IQs higher than 14 might want to see.
