Update: The band’s previous show was “snowed out,” and they’re trying again this Saturday, January 9th!
Awesome Rage Against the Machine tribute band Evil Empire will be in Hoboken tomorrow night, with an “all request” show and fundraiser for cancer research.
If you’re a RATM fan, please head down to O’Donoghue’s at 205 First Street at 9pm.

That’s right you lucky kids, Evil Empire is back with lots of holiday goodies in store for you.
First off, as many of you may know, Andy Marsh, a very good friend of Christian’s lost his hard-fought battle to cancer on August 4th of this year. A memorial scholarship fund has been set up in his name, and Evil Empire will be using this show to promote cancer awareness and to remember Andy for the strong and caring person he was.
There will be no cover to enter, but this time we have a little treat for you. OD’s will be having an open bar for the price of only $30. A portion of the proceeds will be going to the Andrew C. Marsh Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Fund will use the money collected for a few different things, including cancer research and scholarships at Andy’s high school and college. We hope you’ll enjoy drinking your way to philanthropy while raging against cancer! The open bar will go from 10PM to 1AM.
And oh yeah, we’ll be taking your requests all night, so get ready to scream your favorite song at us and we’ll rock it for you! (No, we can’t play Year Of The Boomerang or Hadda Be Playing On The Jukebox yet… but most reasonable requests will be accommodated)
We’ll be going on towards 11PM and playing till after 1AM with a short break. 21+ to enter. Doors open at 9PM.

the drummer’s name brings back memories of a kid i went to high school with. Student was seriously named Richard Handler. He used to get crap for it every day.

I’m the only one in my group of friends that wanted to see this band, at least for a few songs. But a boring birthday party took precedence. Did anyone go?

@aurora – We actually had to cancel due to the snow on Saturday. We were pretty bummed and really tried getting the show in, but it just made sense to cancel since it was so brutal out. We’re looking to reschedule soon, and I’ll post back here once we have an official date. Thanks for the support!

Just to keep everyone informed, we ended up rescheduling this show for Saturday, January 9th. All of the details are the same. Still at OD’s. Still $30 open bar from 10-1.
@aurora – Hopefully you can make this one and there’s no birthday parties this time!
