More front stoop clutter

Your residential complaint of the day…
Jersey City Litterbugs!
“I recently came home to find menus left all over my doorstep. A restaurant in Jersey City called San Vino left their menus on my doorstep. They didnt put them inside or under the door they left them all over the porch. I see their menus blowing all over town on 5th St. This is clearly littering and the pictures serve as proof. Can we have these people charged or fined to prevent this? It shows extremely poor taste and disregard to do this. Maybe we as 411 readers can call this place and express our concerns to thwart this from happening again.
Thanks
A frustrated 411 reader”

I appreciate fliers and menus on my doorstep. They help me make my list of businesses to avoid. Seems like it grows every week.

Me and my husband actually have fun with the random menus. We play a game of “Restaurant Roulette,” taking all the stoop menus that might be somewhat interesting, shuffle them, and blindly pick one like a deck of cards. Have had some good surprises, and utter failures. Makes a nice change from the same ‘ole.

Who in Hoboken is ordering delivery food from a place on Kennedy in Jersey City based on a flyer they found blowing around? Someone must be really into long waits and cold food.

If you have an iphone you can use Urban Spoon for the same effect.

No iphones in this family! Prefer the touch & feel aspect the game. We then write on the menus, and if we pick a sucky restaurant again, we have to give them another chance and order completely different items. Three strikes, we shred the menu! I know sort of self torture, but it’s still fun.

Gosh, I wish I could show you a picture of the huge mounds of GARBAGE my lovely neighbors but behind their gates. The garbage is so high it goes up to the first floor and bakes in the sun all day in the summer. Perhaps if they had these fliers delivered they could chose to order in and minimize the rodent attracting trash.
Also, these fliers must certainly serve a better purpose than the mounds of fliers from the recent election. Speaking of poor taste and disregard, what about the 25 foot banners from the last campaign covering entire building facades?
I would love to have a business like San Vino in the neighborhood.
