If you can make it out of work a bit early today, you can watch the Annual Hoboken City Hall Christmas Tree Lighting!

Starts at 5:30pm, and features many talented acts performing to get you in the holiday spirit!

Hoboken Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

Tuesday Dec. 8th begins at 5:30pm this year (not 6pm) in front of City Hall, 94 Washington Street.

  • Hannah & the M & Ms
  • Hoboken Cheer Dynamic Allstars
  • Hoboken High School Vocal Ensemble
  • Jennifer Lampert and students from Be Vocal
  • Stevens Institute of Technology’s Brass Ensemble
  • with host & MC, Elvis the Elf (aka Polka Dot)
  • and a special visit from Santa Claus
  • and much more!

I lived long enough with a Jewish friend that I can almost sing the the prayers without help. I can sing the part that is the same each night.

I can get as far as:

“Barukh ata Adonai Eloheinu melekh ha‑olam,” (Blessed are You, LORD, our God, King of the universe,)
