Hoboken Photo of the Day – 12/5/2009
Today’s Hoboken Photo of the Day is a construction progress shot of The Berkshire building uptown at 14th and Hudson Streets (where a construction worker died back in September). Quite fitting, actually – because quite a few readers have emailed about how “dreary” the building looks, often calling “government projects” and “senior home.” While I have no issues with it, and it’ll surely be modern and nice on the inside – it does lack any real character. Oh well, you’ve come to expect that…
PS – if you have images collecting dust on your camera or hard drive – send them in for eventual inclusion on Hoboken411! Please state how you’d like to be credited in your email, and a description – if desired!!

It’s not done – why not wait until the building is finished to pass judgment?

Hey, I don’t have an issue with it per se, but the “cream city” colors and lack of any real detail so far have led many Hoboken residents to an unenthusiastic opinion of the project.
