Donate your extra Turkeys!

Our Lady of Grace Food Pantry

I received many emails from Hoboken residents who earned enough “points” at ShopRite – and received a free Thanksgiving Turkey. They were looking for places that might need or accept donations like this.

Well one such place is the “In Jesus’ Name” Food Pantry over at Our Lady of Grace Church in Hoboken (the block to the north of Hoboken University Medical Center – between Willow & Clinton at 4th Street). I heard specifically today, that they were still short on Turkeys.

“We are collecting non-perishable food for needy families in our parish community. This food will be given along with turkeys to these families for their Thanksgiving meals. We are in particular need of canned vegetables, canned fruits, and stuffing mix. If you wish to donate a turkey please call the rectory. Thank you for your generosity!”

You can call them at 201-659-0369. They should be there till 8pm tomorrow, but please confirm before heading over.

Thanks Hoboken 411…. great to see the supermarkets won’t count on people not redeeming their points, even if they don’t need the Turkeys.
