My guess is lots of these accidents are caused by commercial vehicles and taxis. Some are probably drunks, and some are probably just bad drivers who are not used to Hoboken’s narrow streets.

Stop reading the titles of articles posted on H411 as fact. I love this site but no where is there any proof that this accident or the one posted on h411 last week was caused by a drunk driver.

Yes!! Parking by my house is only bad Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights when the drunks come… But obviously, busting drunks will save lives too!!! I mean how dense do u have to be when u see someone driving out of Hoboken at 3 am not to realize that they r trashed??? What do the cops think they were doing?? Knitting???

Going after the drunk drivers will also reduce the number of cars in town. It you’re going to drink, take the bus or train.

I was stuck in one on jersey ave under the overpass. That’s a good location. Add another one on the other side of town. Switch it up sometimes. The goal is not to catch everyone but to deter this behavior.

It's not like there are a lot of ways in and out of Hoboken. it would be easy to blockade these routes on an irregular schedule so that the drunk offenders would never know when they would hit them upon trying to leave our mile sq. city while inebriated and dangerous. An excellent deterrent to dangerous irresponsible people. In response to lucarelj who said:

They've had them around certain holidays, like July 4th and St. Patty's day I know. Probably a few others too. I've been stuck in the one at 14th & Willow by the viaduct. The thing is, if you know where they are, it's easy to avoid them.
