Dangerous Drunks creating hazards in Hoboken
If you’re listening to the Hoboken411 Live Police and Fire Action Channel – you’ll hear some good drunk driving action in the Mile Square!
First, a lady with a blue Nissan was pulled over on Observer Highway for reportedly driving drunk from the Hoboken bars – and then moments later, a resident called in a driver smashing into a parked car near the SkyClub condo high-rise at 700 First Street. A Virgina plate KE-Y1652 suffered heavy front and side damage, and was pulled over quickly by one of the HPD officers. Keeping the city safe, right? I can’t wait to see the carnage once hours and staff are cut down…

Drunk fight NOW at Lana Lounge (1:53am). Cops huffing and puffing, plus speeding over in their cruisers.
The joys of Hoboken!
Who wants to BET that over a million dollars in fines will be issued this St. Patty’s Day? The city needs revenue BADLY!

If they were working so hard to keep us safe these people would have never been in their cars. Your logic is terrible. Why arrant they manning roadblocks or some other preventative measure?
I give them zero latitude because I rarely see a Hoboken cop working, usually just hanging out, talking on a cell phone, or goofing off.
Or perhaps it is time to start making parts of town no-car zones? Who needs all these cars around anyway?

Not necessarily. I was driving on Madison not to long ago and there was a cop, parked in the bike lane, using his iphone to check facebook. That’s two strikes and I wish I was making this up.
I saw b/c he was stopped just before a stop sign so I had to slow down.

We don’t need less cops. We need more foot patrol officers and less supervisors.

When will LANA finally get shutodwn? There’s a fight there every weekend – and nobody there is from Hoboken. My bet is there are a lot of drunks driving out of town from there…

no way. the “bro” and “dude” population has to go somewhere. closing Lana might force them to come to bars I frequent. The horror! The horror!

what we should do is make this an idiot free town and ban you for your stupidity. dont blame others because you’re too cheap or poor to afford a car. while hoboken cops are lazy and idiots, you could be right up there with them.

eezee on the same note I witnessed many jerks on bikes with ear phones on or cell in one hand and other on handlebar, oblivious to people or on coming traffic..As for dwi,its difficult to know who they are unless they run a light or stop sign..On the pky I always look at the wheels of the vehicle if it sways I avoid them
Im sure the troopers are watching too.Its not easy..
