Reader Sidewalk Shotz: Graffiti

11/18/2009:

Longtime Hoboken411 reader “njbeardown” was inspired by this week’s “Hoboken Sidewalk Shotz” photo feature here, and sent in a few shots of graffiti defacing walls around town.

“Long time reader, first time contributor! Took these photos the other day somewhere on Grand and Court Streets. Just a nice day in Hoboken for a walk!”

[Stay tuned for the next Readerpix entry! – Note: one reader’s photo(s) will be featured from time to time. Unless your photo is time-sensitive – it will be published in the order it was received! Additional note: Your pictures will have a better chance of being published if they’re in “landscape” mode, as opposed to the taller “portrait” modes… ]

A week or so ago, someone wrote to H411 asking why Hoboken doesn’t open up the baseball field for the public when there are no games being played on the field.

To the person who wrote in, this article is your answer.

There is or was some sidewalk graffiti by Brandt School. I haven’t walked by there in a while, so I’m not sure if it’s been removed. If it hasn’t, there are bases spray painted on the sidewalk by Brandt School on the Park Avenue side. Second base is on the corner.

The better question is why is there a cornball “z” at the end of Shotz for this feature?

Hey, I missed the memo. Why are we celebrating vandalism?
