The cobblestones look beautiful, though. Court street, after a rain shower, is actually one of my favorite sites in Hoboken.

Well, if they had actually bought a large enough lot to put up a theater w/ a proper entrance, they wouldn’t have had to close a public street. They didn’t have to put all those condos up next to the theater, they could have moved the whole theater over another 10 feet, left plenty of room for an entrance and not closed off the street. Shoot, they could have put a parking garage where those condos are too. But then again, that would make too much sense and the entire reason we gave them all those variances was to make an entirely worthless piece of property some real value to the developer (plus, it also makes that empty strip mall valuable – now that the theater is open they might be able to rent out all those empty stores).

The theater did do a nice job of ripping up, leveling, and replacing the cobble stones here.

This looks to be permanent. There is a no right turn sign approaching it on Adams now. And I think a Do Not Enter sign.

It is kind of annoying – it was a quick way to get out to Willow from back here.

Is it possible that parts have or are in the danger of falling off the viaduct?
