Donna Antonucci is at it again!

You can set your election watch to it…
Donna caught trying to take and destroy campaign sign
Prudential Castle Point Realty agent Donna Antonucci is at it again.
You’ll remember her as the mad sign ripper spotted removing signs posted for any candidate opposed to her beloved Dawn Zimmer. In the spring she was often seen tearing Beth Mason signs down, and also got caught removing Cammarano signs from private vehicles in front of Benny Tudino’s, but this story takes the cake.
Large sign taken from in front of Mason Headquarters
Yesterday, a campaign worker for Beth Mason temporarily placed a portable sign in front of Mason’s headquarters at 315 Washington Street – as they were getting ready to load it into a vehicle. It’s the kind of sign volunteers stand beside while meeting voters. Mason campaign manager Ryan Yacco says at about noontime yesterday Antonucci tried to steal the sign in front of Mason headquarters. One of Mason’s volunteers spotted her and told her to unhand the sign. Surprised that she was caught, Yacco says Antonucci called the Hoboken Police to charge that the volunteer who was attempting to retrieve the sign was “vandalizing a lamp post”. She apparently refused to let go of the stolen sign before police arrived.
Hoboken Police arrive on the scene
Police showed up and told Antonucci to give the sign back and go away.
At this point no attempted theft charges have been filed. How do you think Antonucci and her fellow Hoboken Revolt steering committee members would react if some Mason or Frank Raia fans showed up at Zimmer HQ and tried to rip down their signs? Antonucci has also been seen screaming obscenities at Mason supporters on the campaign trail. And yes, just like the last campaign, she’s again using the multiple email lists she has access to to send out error-filled messages bashing anyone opposed to Zimmer.
Donna has long lost all credibility. Keep this in mind if she tries to pitch her candidate to you.

You mised the point. WE WERE DUPED. There were alot of us who thought HOBOKEN REVOLT was there to help lower taxes. I, like many, was there in the rain at city hall. I now beleive they are nothing more then Dawn supporters. Since Donna is a founder of Revolt and appears in all photos as a leader and was outside Cammarano home she was there for Dawn not lowering taxes. Why hasn’t one of them spoke out about the fact not budget, they were there every meeting since March complaining about taxes and Donna to her credit did a great dwal of financial work? Why be silent now on the budget? NO ONE from REVOLT has been present or made a comment about a budget. Michael Lenz would go to the mike and tell us what was wrong with the budget, tell council members what they should be doing to get a budget. Yet nothing. That is the point I am trying to make not that Donna supports Dawn.

To All: Hob. REVOLT was here to reduce taxes. HOwever, some initial steering commitee members redesigned and this endeavor, IMO, became an instrument for Zimmer (not without good intentions). The rallys were good; but now, the budget message has stopped, Zimmer has not produced the budget, and some leaders of the movement have used it for thier own future.
This is not an indictment of Zimmer or is it an endorsement. You must decide yourself who you want to lead Hoboken out of it’s financil disgrace and state takeover.

Does anyone know of any “official position” paper or link by Ms. Zimmer as to what her plan is for the next 3 and a half years? That would go a long way toward clearing a lot of things up. All I’m seeing is bad ink, what’s her side of the story?

Zimmer made a lot of promises in her spring campaign. She’d tell you whatever you want to hear: lower taxes, reval…..
Her new mailers and ads don’t even mention the budget or lowering taxes. She has pulled all of those promises from her current website and has no concrete plan on how to accomplish any goals. Now this is her official vague and generic statement for Hoboken:
“Dawn’s Vision for Hoboken
This past summer we all watched the spectacle of our Mayor being arrested in a political corruption scandal.
For me, it put an exclamation point on the importance of restoring openness, honesty and accountability to City Hall. As Acting Mayor, I am working hard every day to accomplish this goal.
I am convinced that city government can be a tool to help Hoboken realize its tremendous potential-not an impediment to any real progress. We are assembling a new team of smart dedicated people who understand that their job is to work every day for the people of Hoboken.
Ensuring fiscal responsibility, making sound development decisions that put the community-not the developers first, instituting cost-saving green initiatives, and improving the quality of life in all of our neighborhoods remain my priorities. And I am pleased to report we are beginning to make progress in all of these areas.
Together, I know we can build a bright future for the mile-square City we all love.”
If you want to see the promises she has already broken, 411 captured the material from her spring campaign website and posted them here:

Always a pleasure jman.
Now would the other candidates like to sound off with apples vs apples platforms. Perhaps a formal invite from 411 (or maybe that happened already?).
Put all the platforms in an excel spreadsheet = awesome concept.

I checked out the campaign promise checklist. It is a great idea but everything seems to be marked “incomplete”, even the budget and staffing items. I hope in the future it is updated.

Don’t forget to complain about the cars that park illegally on almost a daily basis right by the PD. Oh wait, those are the guys you are calling so they already know they parked their cars too close to the curb…….

Why is the Italian Princess a raving manaic again? she dodged the bullet again avoiding arrest..In a way she is dawns monster.
Respect earned is respect giving..She does not have my respect when she behaves like she still wares rubber bloomers. If she pulled her stunts 30yrs ago in Old Hoboken, she would but Johnson and johnson out of business..As I suspected the meetings are void of the reformers, because there is nothing to bark about..for now…the proof of the pudding is in the taste.

she needs to find a positive outlet for her pent-up anger. political signs have been her crusade all year now (at least anyone but zimmer’s unless she had something to do with the 11th street incident….). when the campaigning is over will she be pulling down lost pet signs?

up until the the resignation of cammarano i saw donna be outspoken and personnally confront and few employees, shecould have been alot worse but she had one particular problem with this person who is useless in what she does within city government but once donna found out where she stood and who she was working for in the election she backed off(sounds like hoboken to me)but the sad part is she was right on the money with her first impression with this person, but with dawn holding office the last few months she has been alot less vocal.so we shall see
