Cold & Wet weather: Nor’easter?

Winter makes an early appearance

I sure hope this isn’t a sign already that Winter Armageddon is imminent, but we’re in for some potential not-so pleasant weather towards the end of the week.

Weather experts are tracking a somewhat complicated “Nor’easter” weather pattern making it’s way towards (and up) the east coast starting on Thursday – and possibly all the way through most of the weekend. Depending on the exact track, some areas will be in for steady rain, wind – and even some snow flakes in higher elevations way to the north and west. In fact, some forecasters are already predicting as much as 6 inches of rain over a four day period from 10/15 to 10/18. We’ll see how accurate they are.

Hopefully, the system misses us for the most part – and we just complain about being a bit cold and damp.

Hoboken hasn’t had a major Nor’easter in about two and a half years – like the time we got pummeled by rain, flooding and a raging fire back in April of 2007.

I could have sworn I saw a couple of flurries earlier too. I thought I was imagining stuff…

I couldn’t be more happier to stay in tonight. We’re not having food delivered though– actually picking it up ourselves :).
