Hoboken Breakfast Nuggets – 9/28/2009
Monday Morning Briefs…
A few items of interest for this Monday morning:
Did you attend the Arts & Music Festival?
The weather recovered enough yesterday to prevent the entire Arts & Music Festival from being washed out. I didn’t attend for a few reasons (not because I’m running from the law), but because I was suffering from the “been there done that syndrome,” and perhaps had a few too many at the music on the pier event the night prior. Whoops! How was it? Did you have fun?
Great Sports Weekend!
So far, so good in the NFL: Both the Jets and the Giants won, and now have perfect 3-0 records. Plus the Yankees won their 100th when they swept the BoSox and clinched home field throughout the playoffs! That makes me happy (for now).
Hoboken Political Update
Also the field of Mayoral Candidates is reduced to 7, as Sal DeMeo drops out.
Boy that sure changes things, right?
Hoboken Weather Watch!
Lastly, you might want to be aware that there’s a chance of some brief, yet fierce weather today. Weather experts are predicting a strong line of storms to be in our area sometime in the late afternoon or evening, with strong winds and heavy rain. Your PM commute home might be in jeopardy.
Plan accordingly, it’s not that difficult to do!
