The official announcement of the candidacy of Everton A. Wilson for Mayor of Hoboken will be on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at 108 14th Street, Hoboken, NJ. (Please enter through the basement) LUA Restaurant (14th and Sinatra).

The EVERTON FOR MAYOR OF HOBOKEN campaign is requesting donations for this democratic effort – and we need it immediately, within the next two days. We are competing against candidates with millions of dollars and associated with special interest groups. Any amount will be appreciated.

Please note that any unused funds will be returned or donated to charity and a public record will be available.

Quite honestly, while I will read what the man has to say & might even consider him as a candidate, he needs to do more than write the same boilerplate answers I might find on another candidate’s campaign flyer. More details on exactly where he stands may not “help” him get the support he needs to win the mayor’s race, but they will help make sure that voters don’t just disregard him out of hand. And right now, I am leaining towards disregarding this guy purely b/c he isn’t differentiating himself from the rest of the pack.

Mr. Everton (and his associates) should be aware that the state of New Jersey has pretty stringent rules with regard to reporting of contributions toward election to public office. The comment that public reports will be made available is nice but may not meet the requirements of the State of New Jersey.
