Hoboken Pizza is barely a pizzeria, but more a shabby pizza counter in a somewhat rundown space. Ambiance is clearly unimportant to the owners of this establishment. The counter is cracked, the paintjob appears to be done by a grade schooler and the entrance is often littered with paper plates and other garbage.

When fresh, the pizza here is at most average, but more often than not, you will find yourself ordering a stale slice of pizza that has been made many hours earlier, and many cases, the day before. And at two dollars per plain slice, it’s hard to believe anyone will find themselves satisfied.

Their menu boasts a wide array of toppings, but you can pile as many toppings on a bad slice of pizza and it’s still a bad slice of pizza.

On weekend evenings this place is overrun by drunk and unruly patrons that seem to stumble in due to its decent, near-PATH location. Perhaps the pizza tastes better drunk!

With Imposto’s Pizzeria a few short steps away, Benny Tudino’s a little further down the block and Uptown Pizza a quick call away, there is no reason to waste your time or money at Hoboken Pizza.

No delivery… No good… No thanks!

The white pizza with tomatoes is tasty. The cheese isn’t over bearing and messing. The plain pizza if also good. No spectacular taste or anything just good.
No place to really sit unless you get there when it’s empty and you can sit at the bar stools.
And yes it does get packed on weekend evenings with late night traffic. And yes sometimes the place can be messy because of all the wasted people not putting their garbage in the proper places.

This place is a dump but it is what it is, a little hole-in-the-wall that caters mostly to the barhopping crowd. It’s about 10 paces from the Wilton House so you know it ain’t gonna be gourmet. That said, I’ve found their pizza to be decent, if I want a quick slice on the way to or from the PATH I sure ain;t gonna schlep six blocks up to Benny Tudino’s
