Wind & Power Outages

Some areas – but not citywide

A few pockets of Hoboken without power – primarily in the Northwest area (and some buildings on Willow Ave.) – as four major power lines came down near the Dialysis center on 15th Street. They’ve been informed to tell patients of the problem – and possibly seek treatment elsewhere. Also – many fire and burglar alarms are also being tripped citywide because of the weather.

Buildings on the north end of the bridges in Weehawken are also without power. PSE&G is working on the problem and hopes to have the power restored soon.

As you can see from this brief video from Elysian Park – today is pretty damn windy!

Anyone know how long the power was out? I was out of town and am wondering if I should be emptying my fridge and freezer.

Went by the 9/11 service good turnout considering the weather, also went by the Italian Festival, wind was blowing down the barricades put up on 4th st, and a bit of a traffic nightmare in-front of the W Hotel since you need to turnaround due to the barricades.
