Hoboken Photo of the Day – 9/9/2009
If you’re new to Hoboken – or have been living here for years and never took a full-length stroll along Court Street, I suggest you try it once. A very interesting part of Hoboken indeed!
PS – if you have images collecting dust on your camera or hard drive – send them in for eventual inclusion on Hoboken411! Please state how you’d like to be credited in your email, and a description – if desired!!

Nice moody photo. I actually walked passed you and Oscar (he looked tired) last Saturday afternoon when you took the shot. Wasn’t sure you were in the mood to be approached, plus Oscar looked like he just wanted to get home, so I passed on introducing myself.
Keep up the good work in photo documenting Hoboken.

Very nice.
I enjoy Court street, especially when some buttface SUV owner doesn’t park in front of someone else’s garage.

Court Street is lovely and picturesque, but I would suggest avoiding it late at night, especially if you are alone. It’s still a city, you know…

I like this pic, and lighting. Out of curiousity, did you use a SLR here and if so, what settings?

there are many effects that can be made on pictures, these effects can be found on many print programs. they vary from program to program but most have this blurry edge one.

I’ve walked Court Street in little bits. I don’t know if I ever walked the entire length. Does it begin at Newark St. and end where Court St.restaurant is? Anyone know?

Court St runs from Newark St to 7th St.
We used to live Court St. right behind Court St. restaurant. Really loved living there until someone broke into our carriage house on the second day of our honeymoon. They apparently drove a van in front of our front door to block the view of them kicking down the door. That’s how they gained entry. Still a very picturesque street.

It can appear naturally as a result of using certain lenses (e.g. wide-angle), or done manually with software.
