Reader Mail: Inconsiderate Neighbors

8/17/2009:

An anonymous Hoboken411 reader wanted to share their annoying problem on Madison Street between First and Second….

Hey PigPen – smarten up!

I am a resident of Hoboken, and I am writing you because I am absolutely fed up with my neighbors at 130 Madison St.

I live on Madison St and every day I return from work to walk passed an unsightly pile of garbage stacked up in front of 130 Madison. The amount of garbage is hard to believe. It is the amount you might expect to see if someone were moving out, but somehow this building manages to produce this amount of garbage daily without any concern for managing it properly. Often times, their garbage spills over their fence and onto the sidewalk so that people have to walk over or around it to get by. It is a host for vermin and is embarrassing for the residents of Madison St and Hoboken as a whole.

I will be reporting this to the sanitation department as well. It is my intention is to improve at town that I love living in. I think that this is a problem that permeates the whole of Hoboken and needs to be addressed.

I have attached photographs for you to see (411: above). I would love to see these photos posted on your site, so that this building is publicly humiliated as I feel they should be. They are lowering property values for everyone on Madison St and Hoboken.

Please help put an end to this and help the good people of Hoboken

Correction: “I think that the poster of these photos and story is an idiot” should read “I think that the sender of these photos and story is an idiot.”

Sorry.

What’s the matter mooshu? This hit too close to home? I think we might have found the culprit here.

Just send a letter to the property owner tax1.co.monmouth.nj.us/cgi-bin/prc6...&out_type=0&district=0901 and CC the Department of Environmental Services Inspector. Call 201-420-2006 to speak with them.

That would be the *logical* thing to do. But some folks would rather have something to b*tch and moan about, I guess.

Our backyard was totally overgrown with brush, trash was everywhere I complained to the Management company and they said the other building owned the back yard whatever I complained again after seeing a rat in the trash can. Finally, about two weeks ago all the brush was gone the trash cleaned up and a bunch of those black poison rat traps were placed down.

Question – I wonder if the sanitation department or another agency could help me with this type of health issue. Oh yeah I own in the building and the management company s*cks…

no, molly is not in her 20’s, and she is a BnR. seems like a lot of the BnR’s don’t like people pointing out the unpleasant aspects of hoboken. they may agree with you on the point ..they just don’t want YOU saying it because they feel it is THEIR town and who are YOU to have anything to say. the irony of course is that the BnR’s have paid but a tiny fraction of the hundreds of millions of dollars of taxes paid to city hall, and all the realestate profits made by the BnR’s were not made selling to each other, but to the very people they don’t like. it’s like owning a business down at the shore and hating tourists.
anyway, molly is an artist and has great legs. hey molly, any more pics of those hot summmer days? yeah baby!

The hundreds of millions of dollars paid to city hall has certainly not been put back into the betterment of this town. It’s lining the pockets of Cammarano and the men who pull his strings. Look at the sidewalks for crying out loud. They’re falling apart on every street except Garden & Bloomfield.

Sidewalks, for the most part, are the responsiblity of the property owner, not the City.
