I heard that some kid flushed a pair of Crocs down the sewer, and you could hear them floating around underneath Hoboken. Whenever it rains, they come up and swim around in our basements and then return to the deep.

Maybe at that tender young age she had an epiphany that Crocs are lame and removed them.

Wonderful parents indeed! Crocs are an abomination.

Jeez, maybe their kids should be taken away from them–such a horrible act of abuse! Calm down, man. Didn’t you ever inadvertently leave behind an item? I forgot my umbrella yesterday in a pizza place (it had stopped raining so I just forgot I had put it on a chair). I guess that makes me a sub-human. (That said, Crocs are pretty vile.)

Show me someone who doesn’t understand how something can get accidentally left behind and I’ll show you someone who doesn’t have kids.

Any chance someone left them behind for a homeless person with approximate shoe size?
I used to commute via subway in NYC and this one distraught appearing (homeless?) Chinese woman (who didn’t speak) would always sit in the hallway from the 7 train entrance stairway. Her shoes were worn down to shreds of fiber, not even covering half of her feet – probably of no use to walk without pain of the streets. Anyway, one day I walked through and saw a well dressed woman give her a pair of brand new white sneakers. The Chinese woman didn’t understand the lady was giving them to her for free (no english?). But she eventually took them and then smiled. Saw her a few more days wearing them, and then didn’t see her again.

Maybe it is a trend. I noticed Bobby (sometimes meanly called “Creeping Jesus”) is wearing Crocs. Poor guy, like he needs any more trouble.
