Bright Horizons is owned by Bain Capital, a multi-billion dollar private equity fund. they bought Bright Horizons for $1.3billion this year…this is a major corporate player in the babysitting business run by one of the biggest private equity funds on the planet. their primary business is contracting with major employers to provide day care for their employees kids. so expect that there will be kids from ALL OVER the the area being dropped there each morning, and the place will be filled to capacity immediately. nothing says “luxury residences” like a day care center. HA HA HA !!SUCKERS!

strand tramp, the childcare business is a lucrative one, especially in this town where we’re running out of space.
Hey, how about we open a place together?

When you select your child providers look beyond the facility? Are the providers qualified? Do they really love their vocation or are they in it to earn a dollar more an hour than Starbucks or McDonalds? (The employees are paid less than childminders oops thats British english for baby sitters)
Do they monitor employees cell phone and text messaging? (Just watching the schools walking children down Hudson and Washington, most pay more attention to their cells) This is not true for all the schools. it appears the child cares run by churches seem to pay more attention to the childs needs.
Are employee background checks complete? Are they rechecked every year?
May God watch over the children.
