Mayor Gives Out Farmers’ Market Vouchers To Seniors
Hoboken Mayor Peter Cammarano was on hand to help give out farmers’ market vouchers to Hoboken senior citizens at the Multi-Service Center. Each participating senior was provided with six $5 vouchers to use at the farmers’ market, which takes place (throughout the summer) every Tuesday (downtown) and Thursday (uptown) from 3pm to 7:30pm.
Over 300 vouchers were given out during the first week of distribution and an additonal 300 voucher will be given out on Tuesday, July 21st. The City expects to provide an additional 600 vouchers to seniors over the coming months. Pictured with Mayor Cammarano and Freddie Mae Watson above, are Senior Program Supervisor Tom Foley and Dorothy Gnumezi, who is the State Program Supervisor of the New Jersey Women, Infants & Children program.

Is this really the best use of his time or is this a photo op?

How much did we pay for this repayment to the old people bullied into voting for him?

All these photo ops (meet the new boss, same as the old boss)
reminds me of The Who song:
“Won’t Get Fooled Again”
We’ll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgment of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song
I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
And I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again
Don’t get fooled again
Change it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fall that’s all
But the world looks just the same
And history ain’t changed
‘Cause the banners, they all flown in the last war
I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
And I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again
Don’t get fooled again
No, no!
I’ll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I’ll get all my papers and smile at the sky
For I know that the hypnotized never lie
Do ya?
There’s nothing in the street
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Is now the parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight
I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again
Don’t get fooled again
No, no!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss

Not for nothing, but to knock a new mayor for doing good reeks of political envy. I didn’t see a 24 hour timeline of Cammarano’s activities, so just because a good news event gets published doesn’t mean that it should be subject to such harsh criticism in my opinion.
I’m sure much of the more complicated city issues cannot be solved in two weeks.
Do you not think that?

Evelyn
At the end of the day – the Mayor has NO real responsibilities as the State has taken over running the city. Judy is doing all the leg-work and Peter is running around the city cutting more ribbons.
If you had just started a new job at a new company, wouldn’t you just sit your ass in your chair and start digging through all the documents to see where you could make a difference?
Doesn’t seem like he is spending any time in his office figuring out his new job.
