There are more nannies out and about during the day. Maybe-- maybe-- there is more time to be a mom, now. But that doesn't mean that moms are taking this opportunity up, especially if mommy is paying almost minimum wage for a full-timer. There are cut-backs in many areas in town. But kid-related stuff is doing fine. Um, I’m going out on a limb here but eff it. There are more nannies out and about during the day. Maybe– maybe– there is more time to be a mom, now. But that doesn’t mean that moms are taking this opportunity up, especially if mommy is paying almost minimum wage for a full-timer.

There are cut-backs in many areas in town. But kid-related stuff is doing fine.

Some of those moms are home because they can be home (spouses support the family), for some with more than two kids it makes more sense not to work due to child care costs, and yes, there are some laid-off moms out there these days.
