July isn’t looking any dryer (sp?) than June. I’m expecting Kevin Coster to show up at any moment with a mullet and gills.

The rain kinda killed outdoor plans, but the cooler weather has definitely been appreciated. But isn’t it kinda strange that temperatures are dropping while CO2 increases exponentially with a growing global population that uses more and more products and burn more fuel? Weird…

Don’t tell Al Gore though, he’s busy Godwin Law’n himself lately:

hail can destroy a car body, but the insurance companies rarely call them totaled because it doesn’t affect their drivability. in 97 we had a hail storm in the south part of town. saw a 7 series BMW that was really f’d up.

Remember that one well. I had never seen that kind of damage before – and luckily none since. But every time I hear thunder and the wind kicks up I wonder if it’s going to be my turn.

Never got to see the actual hail stones, and luckily my car was in a garage at the time. How big do they need to be to dimple a typical car?

We were caught in that big storm while driving from upstate New York on Tuesday, June 30th. That storm was as close to “snow in July” as you’re gonna get :). Hail fell all over the car. Lightning struck all over the place. It was hard to see anything…

We were one of several who pulled over and waited until the worst was through.

Hail is not close to snow…it doesnt have to be cold near the ground for hail to come out…

You said hail in July was a close to snow as we’re going to get in July when its not cold at all when it hails…a bit misleading.
