Hoboken Photo of the Day – 6/27/2009

A couple reasons I picked this as the Photo of the Day today…

  • For starters, this particular view of the W Hoboken won’t last too long, as another office building will be built here eventually, and…
  • Since we were talking about “Outdoor Seating” at local bars & restaurants the other day – it reminded me that the W Hotel has police activity pretty much guaranteed each and every weekend. Whether it’s for a bar fight or damage to their property – to noise complaints coming from the “Chandelier Room” club (they have an outdoor patio). Just last night, another noise complaint from a resident living at 333 River Street about the place.

From the false fire alarms, to the repeated police calls – I just wonder if the W contributes their fair share for all the civic resources they waste?

The W is far from a classy hotel. Thugs, drugs, drunks. Great image for Hoboken……

Sad. As predicted by the wise here, this place is a thug magnet. Other than the people at 333 perhaps this is a good way of keeping them in one place and out of the hair of the rest of people in town.

Indeed, not unlike invading Iraq allowed us to fight all the terrorists in one place; keeping them out of our hair here at home.

“According to Hoboken arrest records, a 22-year-old Jersey City woman and a 42-year-old Jersey City man were arrested at 300 Sinatra Drive on Tuesday, June 23 and charged with promoting prostitution, conspiracy, and manufacturing, distributing, or dispensing a controlled dangerous substance”
