Readerpix: Anyone call a fleet of cabs?

6/24/2009:

Hoboken411 reader “swalk” sent in a few pics of a traffic conundrum downtown earlier in the week…

Hoboken411 reader photos of the day – 6/24/2009

“Anyone call a cab? A car transport loaded with new taxi’s trying to make a left onto 1st street from River Street this afternoon (Monday). He was being blocked by a UPS truck at the corner and couldn’t make the turn. Don’t know how much further he got after that. I hope he wasn’t planning on going down Bloomfield Street!”

[Stay tuned for tomorrow’s Readerpix entry! – Note: one reader’s photo(s) will be featured each day at approximately 11am. Unless your photo is time-sensitive – it will be published in the order it was received! Additional note: Your pictures will have a better chance of being published if they’re in “landscape” mode, as opposed to the taller “portrait” modes… ]

When I am old and retired, I will take a folding chair and whatever version of the portable Internet/police radio is with me to sit near various street corners in Hoboken and watch the trucks try to turn them. I love this… like a truck Rubik’s cube. Great, fun pictures!

I wonder if the cab company had to pay for each car to be on the truck — or if this counts as a shared ride?

It looks like it’s turning left onto Newark, not 1st.
