More animals in danger…

6/22/2009:

This may not be a Hoboken story per se, but since there are many animal lovers in town, it might be of interest.

NJ Shelter forced to close

The “Room for One More” no-kill animal shelter in Hopatcong, NJ – is being forced to shut-down at the end of this month (June 30th), and may have to euthanize any remaining dogs or cats. This is because their landlord decided to sell the property.

You can contact Room for One more here, to find out what animals are left:

155 Stanhope Sparta Rd (map)

Hopefully all the animals left (if any) would be spared.

I think this would be a good idea some where in the northwest instead of building more condos, we should have another ballfeild, park and we can use a shelter.although you don’t see too many strays in HOBOKEN it would be good for the rest of hudson county

don’t forget that june is adopt a shelter cat month! cats are the ones who languish in shelters. people always gravitate towards dogs. if you cant adopt, consider fostering or donating.
