Overheard on the Hoboken411 Live Police and Fire Action Channel – the HPD was notified by Maryland Police (why MD, I don’t know) about an Amber Alert in the Northeast area. They said to be on the lookout for a Silver Cadillac with Pennsylvania license plate GYK-8998. However, I looked up on the Amber Alert website and pulled the following information. Based on this report, an 8 year old girl and her mother were abducted a mile north of Philadelphia, and with slightly different vehicle make (although still a GM).

Circumstances: The child was abducted at approximately 2:00 pm May 26th, 2009, along State Route 132, Street Road, Upper Southampton Township, Bucks County, about 1 mile north of Philadelphia City. Two Black males, no further description, jumped in her mother’s vehicle and drove away. Her mother, Bonnie Sweeten, was in the vehicle also. Anyone with information about the abduction should immediately contact the police by calling 911.

Description: Long brown hair, dime-sized birthmark on her forehead, unknown clothing.

Suspects: Two black males, unknown age or height

Wow – that was lame. Abusing the Amber Alert system for their own personal gain and avoidance of crimes they apparently committed.

She’ll have fun in prison.

Maybe I should change the title to “A-Hole Alert”
