City Council Meeting – 5/18/2009

5/18/2009:

Council Meeting Bumped Up

With the Memorial Day weekend creeping up on us (and Wednesday’s Parade from 4-8pm) – the Hoboken City Council Meeting has been moved to today, Monday May 18th.

Head over to council chambers at 7pm if you’re either the type with morbid curiosities – or want to congratulate those that made the runoff election on June 9th.

WE depend on “continued expeditures”…NOT TRUE..our rents are high and base on income. We work just as hard as you do!
Stop attacking and get out and do some work for the people here.

We are working for the people here, working to stop the waste at city hall, de-rail the gravy train & help “the people” get a tax cut b/c the city won’t be spending money like it grows on trees.

Jeez, you sound exactly like Cammarano. 🙂

Easy to say: cut waste, cut taxes. But, how exactly are you going to do this?

Otherwise, iyou’re just talk. No different than what he does.

Not only do I live in the second ward, I actually am the community activist here, and my neighbors know it. Ravi was talked into running by ME, ask him, but as far as doing anything here with public safety, traffic or the sewer problems we had here that were recently fixed, he had NOTHING to do with any of it. That was CAMMARANO and ME…
P.S. I am not 150 years old, but the research and history of that issue is also mine, and shared with the public! No charge for the people here who are my neighbors for the past 47 years! I am not a B and R, but I live and work here.

The book that I learn from says something about the look of people.

SIRACH 25 Verse 17-18
” A woman’s spite changes her appearance and makes her face
as grim as any bear! When her husband goes out to dinner with his neighbors he cannot help heaving bitter sighs.”

I have heard much of Zimmer’s spiteful rhetoric when it comes to CAMMARANO, and NONE of it holds water. I will vote my conscience as I always do. Peter is looking better and better.

Could you give an example of Zimmer’s spiteful rhetoric toward Cammarano.

Worth a 1000 words to Cammarano. I suppose you’d all feel the same if there were pics of him looking all out of sorts

Question 1: do city labor contracts preclude having city hall offices open 1 night a week (closing earlier on some other day as needed) for people who don’t work in Hoboken, ie, the people you see at the Path and Ferry every day?

Question 2: is either candidate pursuing this issue?
