Phony Campaign Promises…
“Hey 411,
I went to the debate Tuesday night. Looks like a strong group of candidates who generally want what I want for Hoboken. Attached, a campaign handout from certain other candidate that says all of the right things to get my vote. I’m not votin’ for that guy again… no matter what his name is.

Instead of letting anonymous internet comments full of smear, innuendo and downright false information guide your voting decision, you should meet all the candidates and decide for yourself. Here’s a perfect opportunity tonight:
A Conversation with Beth Mason 7pm – 9pm
Campaign Headquarters, 315 Washington St. Hoboken, NJ 07030 Wine and snacks will be served.
Beth and her team are anything but shy. Ask them the hard questions that Katie_Scarlett is too timid to ask in person and see how they answer. Seriously, the internet is not the only place you should be getting your candidate info. Meet all of them and make your decision.
I think even indiecom would agree with me on that point.

Love the fact you bring me into this. I’m not too timid to ask them anything in person, I just have seen enough of their position/Beth’s votes to know I have nothing left to ask.

Yes, I absolutely agree, RH. I wouldn’t make a decision without speaking with all of the candidates.

One thing I agree with you about is that you should use a variety of sources to make your determination on who to vote for. Debates, candidates websites, etc…
But its pretty funny to see you of all people complaining about “anonymous internet comments full of smear, innuendo and downright false information”
And nice job calling out Katie_Scarlett for whatever reason. At least you didn’t outright threaten her this time. We are making progress I suppose

Red Haven, I would agree that it’s a great idea to speak to the candidates. But I doubt that Beth is hosting other candidates. I have tried to ask her questions and she did when I said hello one evening on Washington.
But in retrospect I wasn’t pleased with the answers. To be fair, maybe I will pop by and ask again. Not sure how that will change the perspective on the Church Towers vote and the pro-development alliance now.
Like what Tom Vincent had said about development. That we are already overdeveloped. Funniest line to that, a couple of years ago a local police officer said to me, “If this town all flushed the toilet at the same time, the whole place would be under water.”
Maybe if someone beats me to the event this evening they can convey that to Beth. But would it matter?
