tama there are many double standards in life – women get to wear make-up and low-cut outfits and they can stand a chance no matter what their face. men can’t do a thing if their mug is ugly. on the flip side, men can be a bit overweight; women can’t. not sure who decided this, but it’s kind of the way society has been, at least for the past several decades. (maybe if you go back to 1920 or 1940 where women were curvier, it’s a different story)

Maybe if the woman in the photo wore the right size/style suit bottom, the cascade of flesh would be contained. That’s partly the problem there, more than the pictured woman being “obese.” (If that’s considered “fat”?!!—not toned, yes, but fat?)

How about the multitude of men, with big guts & sagging cheeks (& let’s not even discuss “man-tits”) who choose to/but should NEVER wear Speedo’s?

Perhaps Dr. Brayton’s next article on dieting & body-fat issues could feature a picture of a man, to illustrate her point?

a day like today is really great on the hook and it is even better because you can run your dog without a leash up until memorial day. this is also kite flying weather and good fishing. once the summer starts it becomes hell with the bennies and animals. you must be careful with the drinking because you must run the gauntlet of potential dwi check points between the hook and the gsp. but right now it is really very nice.

Last time I was at Sandy Hook beach was almost 20 years ago. I remember this crew next to us with a sick toddler. We watched in stunned silence as the father held it above a trash bin as it was puking.

At this time I also noticed that Sandy Hook attracts a clientele who have different standards of modesty vs fitness than the mainstream. Picture the “sack of nickles” mentioned above almost fully engulfing a thong bottom.

I live fairly close to sandy hook and everybody in the area knows to stay away from the nude beach or you will have to boil your eyes to try and get rid of the sights.

Sandy Hook is too close to the Hudson / Raritan estuary for my liking. Cape may is similarly too close to the Delaware.

Best beaches in NJ are in between the two: LBI.

Actually it’s a nice beach – nothing too great but will do, and it’s not far at all. In fact if you know someone who lives in the city they can take a very pleasant ferry ride there.
