There’s more than three!

“Some of the independent mayoral and councilperson candidates invite you to an informal meet and greet on Thursday April 30th. The gathering starts at 6:30 PM at Texas Arizona at 76 River St. This event is pay as you go and all are welcome. Drop by for a drink and get to know your candidates in a more informal setting.”

Mayoral candidates Ryn Melberg, Frank Orsini, and Tom Vincent along with Council Candidates Chris Carbine and Timothy Occhipinti will be in attendance.

You can also take the poll here – to guess how many votes the independent candidates will receive…

and this is why you support a ticket full of elitists?[/quote]

Based on the answers provided at a recent candidate forum on April 14th. It is my understanding that the following candidates favor moving the Hoboken St. Patrick’s Day Parade to a weekday.

David Mello

Raul Morales

Anthony Pasquale

The following candidates were clearly in favor of keeping the day as is, with the plan of increasing a public safety and an emphasis of educating citizens and guests about how to celebrate responsibly.

Christopher Carbine — INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE

Timothy Occhipinti — INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE

Frances Rhodes-Kearns

The other candidates running for council seats did not come out and say yes or no on this issue. While all agreed that changes needed to be made, the above named candidates had clear yes or no answers as to the question of moving the day of the parade to a weekday.

Please remember to vote on May 12th and keep in mind that this is just one of many issue that have potential affects on our young lives here in Hoboken.

Thank Guys!!!
