Hobokenpix: Summer-like weekend

4/27/2009:

[Continuing the ORIGINAL Hoboken411 “Photo of the Day” series…]

Hoboken Photo Gallery of the Day – 4/27/2009

Because I don’t work your usual 9-5, which let’s you treat the “weekend” like actual time off – I didn’t get to spend as much time enjoying the beautiful weather we are currently experiencing. (I busted out my propeller-hat and was writing computer code most of the time)..

But I snapped a few shots uptown yesterday, of local residents just hanging out! I heard from others that Pier A Park was a mad house… with hardly any spots available, and “All you could smell was sun tan lotion!”

WHAT DID YOU DO THIS PAST WEEKEND? ANYTHING FUN?

PS – if you have images collecting dust on your camera or hard drive – send them in for eventual inclusion on Hoboken411! Please state how you’d like to be credited in your email, and a description – if desired!!

the little beach uptown? across from Elysian park? packed all weekend. no room for my chairs/umbrella and the beach pass is now $6.00 per day for adults!

Re: Crowded Pier A

Yep. That’s why we hit the Museum of Natural History (free tix), walked along Central Park and enjoyed dinner and wine with friends out back throughout the weekend.

Can’t wait to hit that little isolated beach uptown, though.

Great pics.

Great pics. But, of course, Pier A was a madhouse! That’s why we hit the Museum of Natural History (free tix), took a nice walk along Central Park and had dinner in our backyard with friends over the weekend. A great time.

I’m considering hitting that beach uptown, soon. Seems more peaceful and isolated…
