Smart Party at Shades Bar
Pleasant Road is a no-show – but some new additions:
– Sax player Baron Raymonde
– Accent Music Makers/DJ Jack Ninivaggi providing the beats.
Whoa! Hard to believe but true – a different approach to a party, this Sunday in Hoboken:
An alcohol-free “Healthy Pleasures Happening”
Artistic and holistic.. indulgent yet organic! Singles tired of bars are invited meet and greet at a unique multi-media event hosted by the Smart Party. Venue will feature live music by the Joe Taino Trio, swing, salsa, ballroom and other social dancing, free salsa dance lesson provided by Mr. Tracy Everitt of Hoboken, an art exhibit by Union City resident Steven Peabody, massage demo from the
Pleasant Road Spa (pulled out) gourmet coffees and teas, delicious desserts, “mocktails” and much more.
The main goal of the Smart Party is to provide society with an exciting, creative, alcohol-free alternative to the bar scene for adults over 21.
Lynn Earley, founder, from North Bergen, has been producing these events since 1992 in the NJ/NYC metro area. In October 2008, she started the Smart Party in NYC Without Alcohol Meetup (at Meetup.com) which now has 225 members, all who wish to socialize sans the drunks, drugs and drama found in bars and clubs.
Event will be held at Shades Performance Space at the Monroe Art Center, 720 Monroe Street, Hoboken, on Sunday April 26th from 4-7pm. Adults over 21 only. Admission: $10.00
