May
5/26/2009:
Seems like all sorts of sidewalk relics are making appearances these days, as Hoboken411 reader whewwhewwhew sent in this picture of this old-school “console television!”
Besides yourself (and family heirlooms) – what’s the oldest thing you have in your house?
Hoboken411 reader photo of the day – 5/26/2009

[Stay tuned for tomorrow's Readerpix entry! - Note: one reader's photo(s) will be featured each day at approximately 11am. Unless your photo is time-sensitive - it will be published in the order it was received! Additional note: Your pictures will have a better chance of being published if they're in "landscape" mode, as opposed to the taller "portrait" modes... ]

The first clue/sign that FiOS is coming is you will see a Verizon truck in you area for a while doing the line installs on the polls. I saw that happen 5/Adams a few weeks before they told us it was available.

Anyone else see that guy trying to sell one of those big flat screen tvs that used to be popular in the 90’s? He was rolling it down washington yesterday, selling price was $69…what a bargain for me!

What do you do with an old t.v.? We have a 32″ Sony tube t.v. that’s about 6 years old and works great. We will be moving in a couple months and don’t want to move it with us. It weighs a ton. We thought about having the movers put it on the curb with a sign that says, “Free T.V., works great!” Hopefully, someone will take it. It’s really too heavy and bulky for us to bring it anywhere as a donation. Any thoughts?
